Privacy Notice

What we collect

• Waitlist: the email address (and optional phone number) you submit, plus a unique access code, the date you joined, the country/city your IP suggests, and the marketing source you arrived from (e.g. window QR, Instagram, TikTok).
• Job applications: name, email, the role you applied for, your resume file (PDF/DOC/DOCX), an optional cover note, and the marketing source.
• Analytics: anonymous usage data — pages viewed, scroll depth, story chapters reached, button clicks, performance metrics, and JavaScript errors. We do not capture form input contents. No advertising cookies are set.
• Server logs: when you arrive via a QR code or social bio link, we record the source, a truncated and anonymized IP address, browser user-agent, and timestamp. Raw IPs are never stored.

Why we collect it

• To send you your priority access code and information about the launch.
• To review and respond to job applications.
• To understand how visitors discover and interact with the site so we can improve it.
• To detect bugs, broken pages, and abusive activity.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate the site:

• Google Firebase / Firestore — secure storage for waitlist and applications.
• cPanel SMTP & FTP — sending email and storing resume files.
• PostHog (US) — product analytics. Configured in cookieless mode; no persistent identifiers are written to your browser.
• Sentry — error monitoring. Stack traces may include URL paths but never form inputs.
• Cloudflare Web Analytics — privacy-preserving page-view counts. No cookies, no cross-site tracking.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not run advertising on this site.

Cookies and similar technology

BYND does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our analytics run in cookieless mode — usage data is stored only in your browser's session memory and is not written to disk. You can close the tab at any time to clear it.

How long we keep it

Waitlist entries and applications are retained until launch and for a reasonable period after. Analytics events older than 12 months are aggregated or deleted. You can ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing info@byndcoffeebar.com.

Your rights

If you are a Canadian resident, PIPEDA (and Quebec's Law 25, where applicable) gives you the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information held by us. Email the address above and we'll respond within 30 days.
